We are all constantly surprised and impressed by the enthusiasm and creativity of our community, and want to encourage all of you to create and enjoy content centered around our world and game. To that end, we wanted to clarify the policies surrounding our intellectual property (IP) and your fan created content.
We want you to be able to create and share as much content as you want with as many people as you want, as well as to give us your feedback and suggestions.
Any content you create is unofficial in nature. Please make this clear to everyone, either in writing or verbally if the content is being recorded.
Furthermore, we ask that you do not use any artwork or other content made by other members of the community without obtaining their permission first. If you are interested in creating content using our artwork and logo, please contact us for permission to do so.
We do not accept unsolicited submissions of things like manuscripts or game ideas. For both personal and legal reasons, assume we never saw or opened them. If you would like us to consider publishing your original content or working with us to develop a game, please contact us without enclosing the work itself.
We may tell you to take down your fan content if the content itself, associated content, or advertising featured in association with your content promotes harm towards a real-world person, group, or groups, is grossly offensive, damages our brand, or for any other reason we see fit (or no reason at all) at any time.
We reserve the right to promote and reproduce the fan content you create based on our IP, and will likely do so in our fan art gallery, on our social media, etc. We may similarly choose to accept your feedback and/or implement your suggestions in our works. When possible, we will contact you to ask if you would like your content to be promoted or included in our works. Where possible, we will give you credit for any content we choose to promote or include, in the form of your name, social media handle(s), and/or the name of your company or website. You will not receive any monetary compensation unless otherwise negotiated in a separate agreement. We ask for your approval and give you credit because we believe in being courteous and respectful to our artists and the community in general. We politely ask that you extend the same courtesy to others.

The content of this website, our game(s), videos, and other works are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We reserve all rights to and ownership of this content including, without limitation, all artwork, characters, locations, items, storylines, sounds, computer code, and game mechanics. You may not post, distribute, reproduce, or modify any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other intellectual property belonging to Dark World Studios LLC without our permission. We reserve the right to revoke such permission at any time. Subject to your compliance with this policy, Dark World Studios LLC hereby grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right and license to our intellectual property as described in the Plain English section above for your personal and non-commercial use. Nothing in this policy is to be construed as a transfer of ownership.
You agree that any material provided by you in response to a request for such material (by email, submission form, or any other means) including, without limitation, questions, comments, ideas, suggestions, artwork, or other creative materials, automatically become our property, without any credit or compensation to you, that we may use and/or redistribute such material for any purpose and in any way that we see fit, and that there is no obligation to keep such material confidential. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all rights to the material provided, or otherwise have the right to provide the material. You assume all liability arising from material provided by you.
We do not accept or consider unsolicited creative ideas (“Submissions”), including, without limitation, manuscripts or game ideas. Please do not send us any such Submissions. If you send us such Submissions, you agree that your Submission(s) will automatically become our property, without any credit or compensation to you, we may use and/or redistribute your Submission(s) for any purpose and in any way that we see fit, and that there is no obligation to keep your Submission(s) confidential.
